Brea, CA; April 2010 – Marco Osuga has been named president of Sekisui TA Industries, LLC (STA), headquarterd in Brea, CA. Effective April 1, 2010, he will assume the position of president. Mr. Osuga is replacing Ikusuke Shimizu, who is transferring to Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd. in Japan.

            Mr. Osuga joined Sekisui Chemical in 1987. He has since served the company in many areas: R & D activities, new business promotion, business administration, and most recently, he was Senior Manager of Sekisui Chemical’s Industrial Tape Division.

As President of STA, Mr. Osuga will supervise the production, sales, and marketing of packaging tape and label overlamination products. This includes two manufacturing locations, located in Brea, California and Rogersville, Tennesse, and three distribution warehouses, located in Texas, Wisconsin, and New Jersey.

While the company was affected by the global economic situation, under Mr. Shimizu’s leadership various initiatives were undertaken, including cost reduction measures that have enabled the company to mitigate the impact of these measures while producing a strong positive result for 2009. Mr. Osuga will take these positive results and build upon them while still focusing on STA’s quality and high level of service.
